Identity Verification & Fraud Prevention
Protecting the integrity of our platform and ensuring that SabioTrade accounts are used by their legitimate owners are important parts of our operations.
For this reason, SabioTrade may require users to complete an identity-verification process, commonly referred to as KYC (Know Your Customer).
Why we verify users
Identity verification helps us:
- confirm that an account belongs to the person who registered it;
- prevent identity misuse, fraudulent registrations and other forms of account abuse;
- verify information associated with a user's account;
- support the enforcement of SabioTrade's Terms & Conditions and platform rules; and
- protect the integrity and security of the SabioTrade environment.
When verification may be required
Under the current SabioTrade rules, successful KYC verification is required before an eligible trader can transition from an Assessment Account to a Funded Account.
SabioTrade may also request additional information or verification where reasonably necessary to verify account information or investigate potential misuse of the platform.
Information we may request
Depending on the verification required, users may be asked to provide personal information and supporting documentation necessary to confirm their identity and the accuracy of the information associated with their account.
The specific information or documentation required may vary depending on the circumstances of the verification.
Users are responsible for providing accurate information and may not use another person's identity or documents to create or operate a SabioTrade account.
If verification cannot be completed
Where required verification cannot be successfully completed, SabioTrade may be unable to provide or continue providing certain services or account functionality.
SabioTrade also reserves the right to restrict, suspend or terminate accounts where fraudulent activity, identity misuse, prohibited activity or other violations of our Terms & Conditions are identified.
Your personal information
Personal information collected as part of identity verification is processed in accordance with SabioTrade's Privacy Policy.
The Privacy Policy explains how personal information is collected, used, retained and otherwise processed, as well as the rights available to individuals in relation to their personal data.
